Memorial Moment

The Memorial Moment is a solemn ceremony created to honor and commemorate members of the Gay Games community who have passed away. Originally established to honor those lost to AIDS and breast cancer, it has since expanded to include all deceased Gay Games activists.
The ceremony features commemorative speeches, the unfolding of the Memorial Moment panel, and a reading of the names.
On the occasion of Gay Games XII València 2026, the Memorial Moment will take place at MuVIM (Museu Valencià de la Il·lustració i la Modernitat), accompanied by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC, the local choir Cor a Cor, and a special Valencian touch provided by the Grup de Danses de Montcada.
The ceremony will take place in the Museum’s auditorium.
