Platja de l’Arbre del Gos (Dog Tree Beach)

Walking along the dunes of this magnificent beach is a truly natural experience. Located south of the city of Valencia, between Pinedo Beach and El Saler Beach, this long stretch of coastline extends from the urban area of Pinedo toward the Albufera Natural Park. Being located farther from the city center, it attracts fewer visitors than the urban beaches, ensuring a calm and relaxed atmosphere—ideal for unwinding.

In its first sections, the beach features pedestrian and bike paths, beachside restaurants, and restroom facilities. One of its main attractions is the bike lane that, starting in the city of València, runs parallel to the seafront promenade, from which you can explore routes that lead into the natural park. In addition, the former school for port workers, located next to the beach, has been converted into an excellent interpretation center for the nature reserve.

Although it is one of Valencia’s more natural beaches, it offers all the services needed to ensure visitors’ comfort, including umbrella and lounge chair rentals.

Access is especially recommended by bicycle or car, but it can also be reached by public transportation via bus lines 24 and 25, which connect this area with Valencia’s city center. The closest stop to the lgbtiaq+ frequented area is Carrera del Riu – Coll Vert. This area lies roughly halfway between Pinedo and El Saler, next to an old abandoned factory behind the dunes, whose most visible feature today is a tall chimney that serves as a landmark from a distance.
