Nothing like cheering up our community

In our city, it might seem like something out of a movie, but there are plenty of people who grew up surrounded by cheerleaders, practicing in sports competitions in their hometowns. In Valencia, we will provide you with the ideal space to perform acrobatics, flips, routines, and choreographies that will leave you speechless.

It is a completely inclusive discipline with no gender divisions. Any adult of any identity can compete; no experience necessary and no PCA Membership necessary.

Register to compete as part of a Group Stunt (4-5 people), Partner Stunt (3 people) or Pom routine (minimum number is 4, no maximum).

If you’d rather just watch, mark the dates and come prepared to cheer on the cheerleaders. And if you love what you see, the cheerleaders will always encourage you to donate to charity. That is their mission and purpose, and they are NOT QUIET about it!

Why we do the pre-day (30th June):

  • For judges to preview routines, align procedures, test video equipment, and train their support staff.
  • For competitors to get comfortable with the performing space and sound, to get some practice and blocking time, and to get an optional judges preview (for illegalities, or to let you know if you are missing a whole scoresheet category). Judges preview is optional, not mandatory. If your group would like a judge’s preview and cannot attend in person, there is a video submission opportunity. If you email your video to judges@pridecheerleading.org within the first week of June (June 1-6), you will hear back from them within the second week of June (June 7-12).  While this day is not mandatory for competitors, it is strongly recommended that at least one performer from each competing group be present to troubleshoot and run through the show.
  • For noncompetitive exhibition performers to get comfortable and get some practice and blocking time. While not mandatory for all exhibition performers, this day is mandatory for anyone performing in the PCA Routine (re-work of the one we used in Opening Ceremonies). We anticipate this practice to start at 10am.
  • For PCA Staff and venue support staff to rehearse the entire run of show and troubleshoot
