Heads up, sticks up!
Valencia, as with many other places along our Mediterranean coast, means field hockey. In recent years, Valencia has hosted leagues and competitions at all levels: from local grassroots schools to pre-Olympic championships.
This year, Valencia Gay Games will host together with PinkHockey, the largest field hockey tournament in the history of PinkHockey, with over 300 players registered across 20 teams.
With teams representing Australia, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and players representing India, Sweden, Argentina, Spain, and many other countries, this will truly be an international hockey event.
Don’t forget your water bottle, there will be water stations to refill it.
All matches are played on water-based hockey pitches, please bring appropriate footwear.
All registered players (including individual registrations) will be grouped into squads (of up to 20 players).
Each team brings their own team jersey.

HOW
- The hockey tournament offers two categories — All-Gender and Women. Any player is welcome in any category.
- Round robin matches on Wednesday-Friday, followed by a final round on Saturday.
- Each team plays at least 6 matches.
- Matches follow official FIH (International Hockey Federation) rules. Each match has a playtime of 4x 10-minute quarters.
- Social events include a Meet & Greet (Tuesday 30/06 17:00) and BBQ night (Friday 03/04 18:30), both at La Carrasca.
