HOW
Competition format:
- Qualifying Series: raced without spinnaker
- Final Series: raced with spinnaker
- All teams will compete in the Qualifying Series. Only teams advancing to the Final Series will sail with spinnaker.
Boats:
- Comet 21 boats will be provided by the organizers and shared between teams.
Teams:
- Crews are composed of 3 to 5 sailors
- Maximum crew weight: 350 kg

WHO
- No gender or age divisions
- All sailors compete together in open categories
For safety reasons, all participants must demonstrate basic sailing competency.
This can be provided through one of the following:
- A valid sailing license or certification (e.g. national or international federation, RYA, FFV, FVCV, etc.), or
- A signed self-declaration confirming sufficient experience to handle a sailboat under racing conditions
Each skipper and crew member must:
- Safely manage the boat
- Understand the basic rules of sailing and navigation
The local Sailing Federation and venue officials reserve the right to verify participants’ experience before allowing them to compete.
WHAT
What to bring (personal sailing gear), including:
- Sailing gloves
- Non-marking deck shoes or sailing boots (closed-toe, with good grip)
- Appropriate clothing for wind, sun, and water exposure — layers are advised (light waterproof jacket, quick-dry shirt, shorts or trousers).
- Hat or cap, sunglasses with retainer strap, and sunscreen for sun protection.
- Sailing license or proof of competence – Some fleets or organizers may require participants to show valid experience or certification, especially for helm positions
- Water bottle, there will be water stations to refill it.
