The bands festival will be much more than a gathering, as a tribute to València’s music heritage. 

Here’s why you won’t want to miss it:

Valencia is a true band city. Every town in the Valencia region has a band, and Valencia hosts one of the world’s largest annual band competitions.

A world-class concert hall. Our big performance (and rehearsals) will take place in the stunning—and air-conditioned—Palau de la Música.

Expert leadership. The concert is being organized by Nieves Pascual, deputy manager of the Palau with deep experience running major band events, and together with Juan Pablo Valero, lecturer, pianist, and director of València Music City.

A cultural exchange. Our concert will blend Gay Games musicians with local Spanish performers, featuring music from both sides of the Atlantic.

Opening ceremonies. A sit-down performance featuring Rise plus music with a local flavor.

Pep band + color guard action. Perform in the Gay Games village, with additional guard features at the Cheerleading competition.
