International Rainbow Memorial Run

Since 1990, each edition of the Gay Games begins with the International Rainbow Memorial Run. This event pays tribute to the memories of all family members that the Gay Games have lost, especially due to HIV/AIDS and cancer.
In this context, a series of runs take place in the host cities of previous Gay Games, usually starting with San Francisco, and ending in València on the day of the Gay Games XII Opening Ceremony (June 27, 2026).
The International Rainbow Memorial Run in Gay Games XII València 2026 is organized in collaboration with International Front Runners. It will go along the old riverbed of València, also known as the Túria Gardens, for approx. 3km. Everybody is welcome to jog or walk together in memory of our beloved friends, relatives and former participants of the GG.
